Welcome to another blog, our "Weekly Bite". This week, we're showcasing two recent favorites: Oud Satin Mood by Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Uomo Born in Roma by Valentino. Plus, we’ll give a nod to an overlooked gem, Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf.
I’ve seen it—the excitement, the curiosity, and yes, the questions customers have when buying perfume oils. Let’s explore top perfume oils and address customer questions.
Top Favorites of the Week
1. Oud Satin Mood by Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Oud Satin Mood is a masterpiece that embodies luxury and sophistication. This fragrance is rich with notes of oud, vanilla, and rose, creating a warm, enveloping scent. It's the kind of fragrance that makes you feel like royalty with just one spritz.
2. Uomo Born in Roma by Valentino
Uomo Born in Roma is a celebration of modern masculinity. This scent features a blend of mineral salt, violet leaf, and ginger, rounded out with woody undertones. It’s perfect for those who appreciate a fragrance that’s both bold and versatile, fitting for any occasion.
Honorable Mention: Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf
Though often overshadowed, Spicebomb is a potent concoction of vanilla, spices, tobacco, and leather. It’s an explosive scent that demands attention and leaves a lasting impression. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s time to give this bombshell the attention it deserves.
Why These Picks?
Oud Satin Mood and Uomo Born in Roma are more than just fragrances; they are experiences captured in a bottle. And Spicebomb? It’s the wildcard that proves sometimes the underdog deserves the spotlight.
Addressing Customer Questions
1. “Is the quality of perfume oils the same as the original perfumes?”
Absolutely! High-quality perfume oils can sometimes be even more concentrated and longer-lasting than their alcohol-based counterparts. They provide a purer scent experience because they’re not diluted/overshadoweded by the alcohol.
2. “Are perfume oils safe for sensitive skin?”
Yes, they often are. I personally experience irritation around the next and clavicle area when I use some perfumes. While specific ingredients could be the cause it's worth mentioning that perfume oils generally contain fewer irritants than alcohol-based perfumes. We still recommend, a patch test first, especially if you have sensitive skin or allergies.
3. “Do perfume oils have the same projection and longevity?”
Because they are oil based and typically more concentrated, perfume oils tend to have better longevity. They do sit closer to the skin than the alcohol based counter-part but they definitely have the potential to boast projection based on your application method - with a spray applicator you're already half way there.
4. “How should I apply perfume oil?”
If you want to be modest with your scent then less is more with perfume oils. Spraying on your pulse points—wrists, neck, behind the ears— will be all you need. If you're looking to grab attention and make a statement, then take your perfume oil spray and also apply it all around your clothes to boost your projection and scent cloud.
As you navigate your fragrance journey, remember that perfume oils offer a unique, luxurious, and often more personal experience than traditional perfumes. Don’t let reservations hold you back from discovering your next signature scent. Dive in, explore, and let your senses lead the way.
Until next time, happy scenting!
